Yellow Cherry Guava produces larger yellow-skinned fruit with pale yellow sweet flesh. The flesh is aromatic, juicy with small edible seeds. They are best picked when fully ripe, fully coloured and slightly soft to the touch. Harvest time is from April through to the end of June. The flowers of the Yellow Cherry Guava have a white powder-puff appearance in late spring on current season growth. Pollination is by insects and birds.
It has attractive reddish bronze new growth that turns to glossy dark green leaves (evergreen). Mature plants have attractive reddish-brown peeling bark. It is moderately vigorous, with a spreading growth habit and can easily be trimmed to the desired shape.
