Red Cherry Guava produces round sweet, and tangy red fruit. The deep red skin is best picked when fully ripe, fully coloured and slightly soft to the touch. Harvest time is from April through to the end of June. The flowers of the Red Cherry Guava have a white powder-puff appearance from late spring on current season growth. Pollination is by insects and birds.
It also has attractive reddish brown new growth that turns to glossy dark green leaves (evergreen). Mature plants have attractive reddish-brown peeling bark. It is moderately vigorous, with a compact growth habit and can easily be trimmed to the desired shape.
